Job Overview

The Budtender position is a vital position on the Stoner&Co front of house team. Budtenders work directly with our customers, from the moment they walk into the storefront to the moment they leave. Budtenders are responsible for making sure that each and every customer is welcomed, accurately checked in, and served in a friendly and positive manner.

Budtenders report directly to the front of house management team, and are responsible for serving customers and completing transactions in the Dutchie point of sale system. Budtenders are responsible for maintaining accurately balanced registers, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, including the lobby, bathrooms, and budtending stations. Budtenders are cannabis experts, and are able to provide customers with accurate information on cannabis products, Stoner&Co. strains, and the laws and compliance surrounding cannabis as a whole.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The job duties for a budtender are detailed below. This list is not exhaustive, but does detail the primary responsibilities of a budtender.

• Greet all customers in the storefront with a positive and welcoming demeanor
• Check in customers and complete transactions in the Dutchie point of sale system
• Accurately enter customer information into the POS when required, double and triple checking that the information has been entered correctly
• Verify that all customers have valid driver's licenses or state I.D and are 21 in compliance with state law
• Notify customers if their identification is nearing expiration and provide information and resources on renewals when possible
• Listen to customers in order to determine their needs and provide them with products that meet these needs
• Act as a wealth of knowledge on cannabis products, as well as laws and legality surrounding cannabis
• Answer customer phone calls, receive and prepare orders placed over the phone, and answer customer questions over the phone
• Receive and prepare online orders
• Complete transactions using the Dutchie point of sale system
• Maintain a balanced and accurate register
• Strictly follow Stoner&Co standard operating procedures, and all appropriate state laws

Requirements

As members of the Stoner&Co team, budtenders must be over the age of 21, with a high school diploma or GED. Budtenders excel at customer service, and are able to accurately count and handle money and products. Working in a retail setting candidates have to be flexible with their schedule's and be able to work night's, weekends, and some holiday's.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
